Educational Action Reearch

Educational Action Research is a reflective and systematic educational practice of progressive problem solving involving collecting and analyzing data to see the results may influence quality of teaching whether it can improve strategy, practices and knowledge of teaching and overall quality of the school. This research is carried out within the context of the teacher’s environment and on questions that deal with educational matters. Action research work in a cycle of planning, action, monitoring and reflection. Beginning with monitoring and observation, then we can plan and implement the way or element of solution. Sometimes, it hard to detach one element of the process from another. We are actually reflecting as we are acting. Later, monitoring will take place as action proceeds. However, once that first change is implemented the action research cycle proceeds generally. Actually, the basic cycles involves identifying a general or initial idea. Then finding the actual fact before proceeds a planning. After that, we need to take first action step, then evaluate the results of first action step, amended plan and then take second action step.
